Pre/Post Surgery Information

If you and your doctor decide that surgery is the best treatment for your condition, you may have a multitude of questions and concerns. Surgery is a major commitment, and can affect your life for several weeks after surgery. Planning for surgery can seem overwhelming, but we encourage our patients to educate themselves on what to expect, as this can make it easier to prepare.

If you have any questions, please be sure to ask your surgeon or a team member of Arthritis & Total Joint Specialists.

Prior to your surgery, we will offer a course conducted by our physician assistants to educate you on what to expect before, during and after surgery, and it is highly recommended that you attend. They will provide you with helpful information and tips, and will be happy to answer any additional questions that you have.

The class will also include rehabilitation information, information about physical therapy, equipment you may need and discharge planning information.
